Marie's Early Birthday Gift

Yesterday Marie received an early birthday gift in the mail from Grandpa Ardee and Grandma Penny. It's called a "Strider Bike." It doesn't have any pedals so it teaches kids how to balance better than starting out with pedals and training wheels. Marie was so excited she could hardly wait for her Dad to put it together! She's really going to enjoy it.

Our First Sunday in Indiana

On Monday, June 27th we arrived in Indiana at our first church with Village Missions. I will hopefully post some pictures of moving and arriving later but for now I wanted to write a post about our first Sunday here! Church went very well. The people were quite friendly and made us feel right at home. Derek did a great job with his sermon. We are so excited to start our ministry here and see how God uses us!

Cole's First Haircut

This morning Derek and I decided it was high time that we gave Cole a haircut. We ended up just doing his bangs as we didn't know what to do with the rest. We think it turned out pretty good!

Marie on Babies

The other day, we were explaining to Marie that Mommy is going to have a baby soon.  She was thrilled! We asked if it was going to be a boy baby or a girl baby.  She answered, "No!  A purple baby!"  Good luck with that one!  Marie has two main baby dolls, one pink and one purple, so these are apparently the categories she thinks in.

and found a slide in the front yard. She's had so much fun with it this fall.

 During the weekend we were able to go the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It was so beautiful and we all had a great time! You won't see pictures of Cole as he slept the whole time in the stroller! :) 

I sure love this man! He's such a great Husband and Father!

 They have a Children's Garden that usually cost's extra to go into but during the month of September it was free! Yay for free things in St. Louis! Marie had a lot of fun with all the different things to do within the garden.
